Charlotte Restaurant Week!

June 23, 2009 · 4 Comments

It’s that time again! Queen’s Feast Charlotte Restaurant Week will be Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 19, 2009. This is the week where many upscale restaurants offer a $30 prix fixe meal. Visit the website to see participating restaurants, scan their menus, and make your reservations!

Also, please feel free to recommend great places from the list for me and Mike! We always have trouble choosing.

I highly recommend Passion8 Bistro. It is just off of Carowinds Blvd. If you are looking for excellent food and service, this is the place to go. Very warm atmosphere providing ecclectic Italian comfort food. If possible try their fresh made pasta. Certainly a special occasion place made affordable by Restaurant Week for those of us on a budget.

Thanks RC! If you had to choose between that and Tria Terra, would you go with Passion8?

If I had to choose, I would go with Passion8 Bistro. I think the chef is more creative there, the service is excellent and it is very evident that the chef/owner and his wife really put their heart and soul into it (we’ve seen them every time we go there and have gotten to talk with them). In addition to their fresh pasta, I would recommend the calamari appetizer (different twist on this than most other restaurants) and the tiramisu.

Mike and I love calamari! Great! Thanks again for the recommendation.

Oh, by the way, in another thread, someone said Tria Terra closed its doors. Sad!
